Radiolab Live: How To Save A Life

The moment your heart stops pumping blood is the moment you stop being alive. Every minute that passes without intervention exponentially decreases your odds of ever living again. Medicine has made amazing strides in treating heart conditions, but unfortunately, many of our hearts will ultimately stop somewhere out on the street, or in our homes, or in a Starbucks. And the only one who can keep you alive during those crucial first few minutes is a a stranger, a neighbor, your partner, anyone willing to perform CPR. Yet most of us don’t do anything.

Join Radiolab’s Latif Nasser, ER doctor and Radiolab contributor Avir Mitra, TikTok star and cardiac arrest survivor Dr. Glaucomflecken, and cardiac arrest savior Lady Glaucomflecken as we discover the fascinating science of cardiac arrest, hear a true story of cardiac arrest, and hunt down the best place to die (hint… it’s not a hospital). And, with the help of our friends over at the American Red Cross, you, yes you, will learn how to do hands-only CPR!
